I got the greatest text message this week and can’t stop smiling about it. My client Laura, a photographer based in NYC, sent me a note saying:
"I got an amazing compliment on my website yesterday. I was shooting a couple in our neighborhood and they said "we felt like we knew you coming in today. Your site answered all of our questions and was so easy to navigate. We knew we wanted you the minute we clicked on your site."
They knew they wanted her the minute they clicked on her site.
Excuse me for a sec while I dance around my apartment in glee.
I’m not sharing this to brag. On the contrary — it’s humbling. Here’s why this text made me so happy:
Laura takes gorgeous photos of families and children. She feels creatively fulfilled by her work and her clients cherish their photographs forever. The fact that I get to contribute to this process and help Laura bring joy and beauty to the world? Pure magic.
A website might be made up of pixels and code, but it’s so much more than that.
