How Anika went from overwhelmed to clear about her website (in just 30 minutes!)
Have you seen the Netflix show Tyding Up With Marie Kondo? My favorite part is when Marie gets excited about a client's messy house. I feel the same way when I hear about a messy website!
Website overwhelm is one of my favorite messes to help fix, so when I got this email from Anika Horn (a consultant and one of my blog readers) I was super excited.
Anika said:
"I'm planning a new website but feel completely overwhelmed with where to start. Do you offer 30-minute pick your brain sessions?"
As it happens, the answer is "yes!"
Anika booked a 30-minute Strategy Session, filled out the pre-call questionnaire, and we met over Zoom Video Chat.

Cami: Why did you book a Strategy Session? What were you struggling with?
Anika: I'm planning a new website but was completely overwhelmed with where to start and how to find a suitable template. I was so hung up on getting my website perfect that it stopped me in my tracks. The whole thing felt overwhelming.
Cami: Did you have any hesitations before booking your Strategy Session?
Anika: For a few minutes, yes. I assess my expenses very carefully.

Cami: What part of working together in a Strategy Session did you like most?
Anika: I love that you keep the language simple, all things website sound foreign enough as they are. The preliminary questionnaire was SO helpful in getting things straight in my own head. I felt like half the work was done just by answering those questions, in writing!
Cami: How have things improved since working together?
Anika: I'm ready to just start. The only hold-up has been that I need to write the content for the site and even this has become so much more enjoyable and exciting because I now have a better idea of what my website might look like; that alone has been very motivating!
Cami: Would you recommend working with me to others? If so, why?
Anika: Absolutely! I love that you are straight-forward, completely present and in-tune with my needs and challenges.
